Oh No no.. don’t you worry… its nothing scary. Its our very own summer friendly, simple yet tasty Watermelon Juice written in Italian language. I wanted to come up with some catchy name but was too lazy to rack my brains in this scorching June heat here in Muscat. So I go to Google and get it translated in Italian language. This way I get the opportunity to make you learn a new word in a new language. Now that I have your attention, lets talk about an interesting recipe i am going to share with you people today.

We all have our favourite fresh fruit juices depending on the ongoing season of the year. But for me, it has always been, always is & always will be Fresh & Chilled Watermelon Juice. As a child i would love my watermelon juice to have small chunks of melon in it. Nothing has change yet. I still love small chunks of melon in my juice. I guess the kid in me is still there.


Summers can be daunting if one does not take care properly. We need to keep ourselves hydrated all the time. And watermelon is one of the best hydrating fruit available in summers. So here is a interesting healthy version of my favourite fresh fruit juice.


Serves: 2-3 Prep Time: 15 mins Making Time: 5 mins


Watermelon – 4 to 5 cups (deseed, cubed and refrigerated)

Cold Water – ½ to 1 cup (depending on the thickness of the juice you prefer)

Honey – 1 to 2 tsp (depending on how sweet is the watermelon)

Lemon Juice – 2 tbsp (optional)

Salt – a pinch

Ice cubes


Take all the ingredients except ice cubes in a blender and blend it until smooth. Strain the mixture if you do not like the pulp or you can enjoy it as it is. Refrigerate minimum for an hour before serving. Serve it with ice cubes for that added chill factor 😉
